Volunteer Opportunity-Greater Chicago Food Depository
Register Today!

Trinity “O” Club invites you to volunteer with them during a reserved Repack Session at Greater Chicago Food Depository on February 29, 2020 from 8:30 AM to 11:15 AM at 4100 W Ann Lurie Place Chicago, IL

What is a Repack Session?

A lot of the food received at the Greater Chicago Food Depository warehouse comes in bulk quantities, and volunteers are scheduled to help break it down into more manageable sizes. In a Repack session you may sort produce, inspect and box shipments of bread, or repack bulk dry goods (pasta, rice, beans) into smaller quantities.

Where does the food go?

The food gets distributed to participating food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County.

Space has been reserved for up to 15 people.  The minimum age to volunteer is 11; all children age 11-15 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.  Volunteers are asked to bring at least one shelf-stable food item to donate.
