Holy Trinity Welcomes Bishop Neophytos - 10/14/18

His Grace, Bishop Neophytos, of Nyeri & Mount Kenya, visited the diocesan cathedral, Holy Trinity Cathedral, the weekend of October 13-14, 2018, concelebrating the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, with His Grace, Bishop Paul, and Priest Alexander Koranda.

Bishop Neophytos offered an inspiring homily to the faithful gathered urging all to live a life of patience. Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Neophytos thanked Bishop Paul and the parishioners of the cathedral for providing motorbikes to the clergy in his diocese.

Bishop Paul presented Bishop Neophytos with a Panagia in remembrance of his first visit to Chicago. Fr. Alexander presented a hand drawn rendition of Holy Trinity Cathedral with St. John of Chicago, who was the builder of the cathedral. After greeting the faithful, the hierarchs gathered for a festive lunch in which they exchanged stories of diocesan life.

Bishop Neophytos was the guest of Bishop Paul and attend the Diocesan Assembly that was held in Lansing, Illinois earlier in the week.
