On Sunday, July 9, 2017, a check for $2,000 was presented to His Grace, Bishop Paul by Dennis Pelak, Parish Council President and Margo Pelak, Chairperson for Holy Trinity’s 125th Anniversary celebration.

“During the planning stages, the 125th Anniversary Committee agreed to donate these funds from the money received for our celebration event as a way of passing on our good fortune to a parish in the Midwest Diocese needing financial help or for seed money for a new mission parish.  It is the committee’s wish to help such a parish one day celebrate their 125th Anniversary as well,” said Dennis Pelak.

Holy Trinity Cathedral celebrated it's 125th anniversary as an Orthodox parish in Chicago over the weekend of June 10 & 11.  The weekend was marked with a tour, fellowship, hierarchical liturgy and banquet.  Holy Trinity is the See Cathedral of the Diocese of the Midwest in the Orthodox Church in America.
