On Saturday, October 10, Holy Trinity Cathedral will host a Liturgical Practicum to give subdeacons the opportunity to learn the major points of serving at a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.  The Practicum will begin at 10:00am, will move through lunch at 12:00 Noon and end at about 3:00pm.

During this training session, subdeacons will have hands on experience learning how to place and fold the vestments for the hierarch’s vesting.  They will also have the opportunity to actually go through the motions of vesting the hierarch, with special emphasis being placed on the Great Omophor.

The deacons will be given the opportunity to walk through not only the vesting of the hierarch, but also the finer points of censing the Sanctuary, Temple, and hierarch, with special emphasis being given to the Great Entrance.  The subdeacons and deacons will be shown the proper placement of the orletsi.
