Lenten Church School Retreat - March 10, 2012
CHICAGO, IL [Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral] -- Dr. Tina Richardson, Church School Coordinator at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, has announced that a joint Lenten Retreat for youth ages 3 thru 15 will be held with the parish of Christ the Saviour Church on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, 1121 N. Leavitt Street. Curriculum will be based on the OCA activity book, “Saints of North America.”
The retreat will begin with attendance of the Divine Liturgy starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by Lunch/Fellowship in the parish social hall from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Stations for children in second through ninth grades will be led from 12:30 p.m.-3:45 p.m. and a workshop for ages 3-7 will take place from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Confession Service will begin in the cathedral at 3:45 p.m.
Parents and older siblings are welcome. There is no cost for the event, however participants are asked to RSVP so that enough materials may be prepared. Snacks and lunch are pot luck.
