Holy Trinity Cathedral welcomed clergy and faithful from Chicago deanery parishes for the Bridegroom Matins service.  The Miraculous Kursk Root Icon was made available exclusively during the evening service for veneration.  V. Rev. Thomas Mueller, Rector at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Milwaukee, gave the homily, closing the evening service.  

Collections were taken to help defray the cost of traveling expenses for the icon, as well as the Chicago deanery summer camp scholarship fund.  This year's summer camp for Orthodox youth will take place June 30-July 3 at YMCA's Camp Edwards in East Troy, WI. 

A light Lenten reception was held in the parish hall immediately following the service.
